Who am I?
I am a WIFE..
A small town girl who fell in love with her high school sweetheart. I never imagined that the shy boy I sat next to in class would end up becoming my best friend, husband, and father to my children. My husband is simply amazing and one of the kindest people I know. I am one lucky lady to say the least.
Yay! Yesterday officially marked one year!
I am a MOMMY..
Might I add, a NEW mommy and I absolutely love it. This past April, my life was rocked upside-down (in a good way) by the most handsome little boy ever, Declan Brooks. I entered the world of sleepless nights, pony-tailed hair, spit-up on shirts, and strategic planning of bathroom breaks and showers. Along with this though, I've encountered morning wake-ups which include adorable toothless grins, endless giggles, and "aww"worthy stretches. And did I mention the cuddles? Swoon. There is nothing better than the cuddles. The way they just melt in your arms with a sense of security. There's no better feeling.

I am a TEACHER..
A newbie to the teaching world. I was blessed with 25 eager kindergartners my first year out at an inner-city school in Ohio. Those curious kiddos taught me more in one school year than I could have ever imagined. Sure, I may have taught them the basic skills of reading, writing, math...but what they taught me is beyond measure. As a first-year teacher, I had those days where I wanted to go absolutely nutty, but seeing how much I impacted their lives daily kept that spark inside well lit. Here I am, venturing onto my fourth year and I couldn't be more blessed with where I am in my career as I move from Kindergarten to First Grade. Yay!
